Martin Margiela exhibition comes to London

19th March 2010 1:29 pm

The avant garde fashion house is one of the more, let’s say, experimental – cult, even – labels around, and probably the hairiest too; ingredients for a great exhibition, we think you’ll agree. Hold your haute horses, the Martin Margiela exhibition is coming to London.

Celebrating the last 20 years of the label’s history, the exhibition will showcase videos, photography, films and installations capturing the Martin Margiela aesthetic as it moves from the Mode Museum in Antwerp to take its new home in London’s Somerset House this spring.

Of course, there’ll be a retrospective of the Belgian designer’s handywork, too, where some of his most iconic pieces will be on display for you to marvel in the most meticulous of details, Elle UK reveal.

The exhibition runs from June 3rd – September 5th in the Embankment Gallery at Somerset House – and we’re predicting it’ll be quite the hit.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
