Lunchtime buy: Haute Hippie skirt
Take ruffles to the extreme with this mink skirt from Haute Hippie. Ruffles were all over the spring 2010 catwalks, at the likes of Lanvin, Dolce and Gabbana and Marc Jacobs and this skirt pinches the trend, giving the romantic look a cool and sexy twist. The tight, cascading folds of silk-chiffon remind us of the Valentino runway in particular (as shown below) which was a story of textured greys and contemporary silhouettes.
This versatile piece can be dressed up or down and is the perfect item to team with neutral basics.
