MET Ball 2010: Blake Lively in Marchesa

Blake gets it spot on with this stunning cobalt blue Marchesa dress at the Costume institute Gala over the weekend, showing off not only her enviable legs but her impeccable eye for fashion too.

The one-shouldered mini cocktail dress mixes just the right amount of youthful sexiness with a really on trend detail. The bold colour is divine and really makes for a stand-out dress amongst all of the floor length numbers on show at the evening. The signature Marchesa floral applique is given a real trend-lead feel using dramatic ruffle detailing, and the draped chiffon body makes for a soft contrast.

Blake keeps the look fuss-free with sleek pulled back hair and relatively simple makeup, and like all the best-dressed beauties she lets the dress do the talking. She finishes the look with sky-high heels and endless legs – the perfect combination.
