Lunchtime buy: L.K. Bennett Purple Penn dress

16th August 2010 12:00 pm

Today’s lunchtime buy looks to us like a modern classic in the making. With a truly flattering cut, the Penn dress from L.K. Bennett is the go-to piece worth dressing up for seasons to come.

Not to underestimate how spot on the Penn is for autumn mind, thanks to a lower hemline (calf-reaching, of course) and 60′s-inspired square neckline – Joan Holloway and the Mad Men girls would certainly approve.

Rich jewel tones like this deep purple are always winter favourites; we’re definitely classing this dress as a long-term investment. Paired with a tailored dark blazer or cropped knit, this luxury look will stand out from the crowd – just add a pair of patent peep-toes and you’re good to go.

£195 at L.K. Bennett

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
