Florence Welch in Givenchy Couture

It’s the biggest celebration of music and Sunday night it was the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards held in Los Angeles.

One lady high on the fashion radar at this year’s awards was British beauty Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, and although she didn’t win eight awards like rival Lady Gaga, she still managed to pull off a dramatic look wearing a Givenchy Haute Couture lace dress from the AW10 collection.

The songstress stayed true to her vintage vibe with this glittering gold long sleeved floor-sweeper, and nipped in by a satin corset at the waist with zip detail down the front, Florence gave her elegant look an element of sexiness.

Whilst this style on some could look a little washed out, the muted metallic tones work beautifully with Welch’s red lips and fiery locks – and with minimal accessories (just matching shoes and clutch), we think this style is spot on for the singer.
