Oscars 2011: the trends – nude

Elsewhere on the red carpet, nudes ruled the roost in subtle shimmers and second-skin tones.

Michelle Williams opted for delicately pretty pearl for a contemporary take on the trend while Gwyneth Paltrow, Mandy Moore and Halle Berry went for safer shades of skin in barely-there blushes, amped up with lashings of embellishment.
