Watch: Mulberry’s flower-filled short film for SS11

16th March 2011 11:38 am

British luxury brand Mulberry has released a very floral short film to capture the spirit of summer for its latest spring/summer 2011 campaign, with some pretty impressive effects to match.

Shot by renowned photographer Tim Walker, the film (just short of 1 1/2 minutes) sees six Mulberry campaign images starring models Lindsey Wixson and Nimue Smit merged together using unique animation, rotoscoping and repainting visual effects, allowing the images to come alive.

Directed by Park Village director Luke Losey and visual effects company Framestore (who have previously worked on the likes of Harry Potter and Avatar, no less), the short film sees digital animation and 3D images given an independent motion for this ingenious project.

But it wouldn’t be a campaign ad without some Mulberry merchandise thrown in for good measure, and naturally, the brand’s spring lust-haves are dotted around the set, including the Bayswater, Tillie and Lily – not to mention an exclusive peak at the all-new Tillie drawstring shoulder bag.
