Love or Hate: YSL Muse 2 bag

Blue is my absolute favourite colour and I’m really into the whole nautical look at the moment. I think I’ve bought about three Breton tops in the last month. So on paper I should love YSL’s blue, green and tan Muse 2 bag, but in reality I just find it a little…boring.

Don’t get me wrong, I love YSL, but this bag just does nothing for me.

It has a blue leather front, green sides and a tan back pocket, and whilst the bright yellow top handle adds interest, it’s just a bit too Sunny Delight for my liking. The shape also puts me off a little. For some, boxy handbags with short handles might be the epitome of chic but, for me, I feel like a doctor.

Perhaps I am being a bit harsh. I’m sure if someone gave me one as a gift, I would treasure it. But if I were spending £1, 370 on a bag it would have to be in a more neutral colour and in a shape that didn’t make me feel like I was on my way to surgery.
