After we reported you the news last week that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana could face imprisonment for alleged tax invasion, we’re now relieved to inform you the judge has decided the pair will no longer stand trial!

On Friday afternoon Judge Simone Luerti decided, after four and a half hours of deliberating, there was no case for the designers to answer to in a house of law, reports Vogue UK. Phew!

“I am very pleased with this decision,” Giuseppe Bana, lawyer of Dolce and Gabbana’s accountant, Luciano Patelli, said. “The judge prevented this from going too far, it’s an investigation that should never have been initiated in the first place.”

Just keep an eye on your taxes from now on boys, eh?
