Jennifer Love Hewitt’s fashion fail

4th April 2011 12:42 pm

A jumpsuit is a stylish summer staple. Easy and comfortable, they remove all the effort of separates (and you don’t have to shave your legs) – but getting the right fit is key, or you’ll go from flattering to frumpy.

And over the weekend Jennifer Love Hewitt demonstrated how not to do summer’s trickiest trend.

Spotted in LA, the actress showed off her fashion fearlessness by donning a white flora-printed jumpsuit, but it failed to impress us. Baggy and ill-fitting, it didn’t make the most of Jen’s curves – in fact, it made her look top heavy, and the long hems dragged along the floor making her look like she was walking on stilts or something.

Circus chic? We don’t think so.

We admire her bravery, but a short sleeved tailored style with a big waist belt would have been far better on the petite beauty than this fashion disaster.

What do you think of Jennifer’s look? Fun or frightening?

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
