Because the lady loves to colour block

12th April 2011 3:00 am

In case you didn’t know, colour blocking’s hot this season, and if you ask us, the bolder the better.

But teaming clashing Crayola separates can be a tricky business, especially if you’re not the bravest of the bunch.

So we’d like to introduce you to a little thing we’re calling our hero piece – Sportmax’s Gerla block stripe shift dress.

Taking all the leg work out for you with one easy piece, this defiant dress was made to make a statement, and with its striking red and pink stripes, there’s no chance of slipping in unnoticed.

But that’s not to say it’s try-hard, either – though it might be vibrant, its simple shift shape and sharp pleats provide the perfect pared-down base for effortless spring style.

Colour blocking doesn’t have to be hard, y’know.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
