Love or Hate: Charlotte Olympia Tutti Frutti pumps

Every year, around this time, I get a sudden urge to go away on holiday. I don’t care where, as long as it’s hot, has a beach and is miles away.

All my friends are the same – suddenly a unanimous desire to jump on a plane and head of somewhere warm this summer has surfaced. I blame all the new summer clothes in the shops. I mean they were made to go away on holiday in, right?

This is why my eyes were instantly drawn to Charlotte Olympia‘s Tutti Frutti pumps. They’re so kitch, resistance is futile.

It’s just too hard not to love them. Made from leather and suede bananas, strawberries and pineapples, they’re statement shoes to say the least. I love the way they get me in the mood for summer and they are, without doubt, the perfect holiday shoe.

I would team them with a plain white sun dress and let the pumps do all the talking, or I’d go retro and pair with a white broderie Anglaise blouse tucked into high-waisted patterned shorts. All I need to do now is book my holiday…
