Love or Hate: Lanvin suede and python wedges

21st April 2011 1:30 am

I’ve always loved wedges as they provide you with height and the added bonus that they’re easier to walk in and more stable then heels.

But when it comes to looking pretty they’re, more often than not, defeated by heels in the style stakes – in the evening, wedges can sometimes look too clumpy and less elegant than their slim-heeled counterparts.

However, hope is out there. These Lanvin suede and python wedges are gorgeous.

The upper is made from luxurious navy suede and the pink leather platform is gloriously girly. I love the neat wooden heels and the 5.5 inches of height they offer. A nude grosgrain ribbon fastens around the ankle and ties right in with the ballet trend at the moment for extra points, too.

These beauties are really leg-lengthening, so show off those pins with a draped wrap around dress or tailored shorts and blouse.

Never one to disappoint, Lanvin has given us the perfect feminine wedge. I’ll take these over espadrilles any day.
