Beauty look of the week: Lily Aldridge

27th April 2011 3:00 am

There’s a pattern forming with our favourite beauty looks - a few weeks ago we presented to you a Victoria’s Secret model, and this week, another Angel has topped our list: Lily Aldridge.

Yep, the very Victoria’s Secret babe who’s managed to tame the dark and dangerous (and down-right gorgeous) Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill, whom she’s marrying next month.

If that’s not reason enough to want to copy everything about her, here’s something else to add to the list. We loved her dewy bronzed make-up she wore to the launch of Victoria’s Secret’s Sexy Little Bride range. Naturally golden with a hint of summer glam, we’re desperate to recreate this look as soon as the sun sears this weekend.

If you are too, we’ve chosen our favourite products below to recreate her look – and who knows? You might bag yourself a sexy rockstar, too.

Using a thicker foundation will create a flawless base to get perfect skin like Lily’s. MAC’s Studio sculpt foundation gives the best coverage by far and is available in dozens of shades so you can find your perfect match.

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation, £23, available at Debenhams. BUY NOW!

Lily’s used an illuminator to highlight her skin for a spring-like dewy finish. Mix a little in with your foundation or apply alone to your cheeks and brow bones and you’ll look like your glowing from within.

Nars Cosmetics Illuminator, £21.50, available at House of Fraser. BUY NOW!

Guerlain’s terracotta bronzing powder is a make-up artist favourite. Apply to the areas where you naturally catch the sun – your forehead, down your nose, underneath your cheekbones and across your chin – for a sunkissed finish. Brush a little extra onto your cheeks to look beautifully bronzed like Lily.

Guerlain terracotta light bronzing powder, £33.50, available at House of Fraser. BUY NOW!

For those unfamiliar with this beauty trick, it may seem a little odd, but trust us, it works. An easy way of achieving the perfect matt nude lip like Lily’s, is to dab a tiny bit of foundation onto your lips.  Use very sparingly to avoid looking washed out (you’ve been warned) and follow with a smudge of balm to add necessary moisturise.

Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm, £2.55, available at ASOS. BUY NOW!
