Agyness Deyn lands a starring new role as erotic dancer

Agyness Deyn seems to taking a slightly different career move as of late, with news now circling the British model has bagged her first ever on-screen role…

Agyness is set to play an erotic stripper named Flo in a re-make of the 1996 cult classic, Pusher – a story highlighting a week in the life of Frank, whose drug dealing escapades soon ware thin and land him in a whole heap of serious trouble.

The first Pusher film was shot in Copenhagen, but the new version – directed by Luis Prieto – will be filmed in Shoreditch, London, alongside original producer Nicolas Winding Refn, reports Vogue UK.

“Pusher was the film that launched my career and to have Luis Prieto direct the remake in London will be an exciting venture,” said Nicolas. “It’s a classic tale with strong characters and has an engaging narrative. To see my key characters, Frank and Tony in London, one of the most exciting and diverse cities in the world, is an opportunity not to be missed.”

And apparently, Luis didn’t even know who Agyness was when he first met her, and got the part solely based on her impressive audition – nice one Aggy!
