Luxury fashion label Lanvin is set to launch its first ever childrenswear line this November, just in time for spring/summer 2012, and naturally, its approach to the new clothing venture is super luxurious.

The collection will consist of 25 pieces aimed at girls between the ages of four and 10, offering everything from dresses, T-shirts, coats, jumpers and accessories.

“It’s a way to translate the universe of Lanvin ready-to-wear to the world of kids,” said Lanvin’s executive vice president, Thierry Andretta. “We really want to stay in the luxury world.”

The exclusive collection will be sold in 80 Lanvin stores across the world, reports Vogue UK, but with prices yet to be confirmed, you can bet your bottom dollar these clothes won’t come with your average price tag – luxury comes at a cost, after all.
