Sarah Burton thinks Kate Middleton is low maintenance

5th May 2011 10:19 am

When McQueen creative director, Sarah Burton, turned up at Saks department store earlier this week for a meet and great with the customers, she was unsurprisingly inundated with questions about Kate Middleton’s wedding dress (despite visitors being told they couldn’t talk about the royal wedding).

Norah Lawlor was one of the first to talk with Burton. “She said the princess was one of the most lovely women she has ever met and she was really low maintenance. She said the palace called her and the collaboration between her and Kate was 50-50,” reports The Cut.

Well, considering Kate did her own make-up on the day of the wedding, only wore a tiny pair of earrings given to her as a present from her parents, and can regularly be seen hitting the British high-street for some new clobber, we can see why Sarah would call the Duchess of Cambridge a low maintenance kind of girl.

And that’s why we love her, right?
