We celebrate Esquire’s relaunch with Lily Allen and friends

6th May 2011 11:53 am

You’ll have to excuse me if I’m still a little bleary eyed this morning, you can blame Esquire for my partying well into the a.m.

The men’s magazine’s had makeover courtesy of its new editor-in-chief Alex Bilmes, and to celebrate the first issue under his direction, Esquire threw a star-studded relaunch party last night at London’s Sketch.

Lily Allen, who was host for the night alongside Alex, kick-started the soiree sporting a cute colour block dress, joined by fiancee Sam Cooper and pal Jaime Winstone, who came with a newly-dyed pink and blue ‘do.

Over in celeb corner – a term I coiffed for the crowd of stars mingling on the sofas – Abbey Clancy was showing off her svelt post-baby figure, 90210‘s Jessica Lowndes was flashing smiles left, right and centre, David Gandy was looking all kinds of sexy (his girlfriend Mollie King soon joined him, bummer), and new R.Patz Alex Pettyfer was casting a few smouldering stares (I saw ya, kid).

I, on the other hand, armed with a rhubarb and ginger cocktail in one grasp and a mini hot dog in the other, scoffed everything in sight (mini fish and chips? I’ll have five) whilst rubbing shoulders with Marina Diamindis at the bar and bumping into Will Young outside the TW Steel photo booth.

I may or may not have also got down on the dancefloor, courtesy of Stone Roses’ Mani on the decks.

Just another Thursday night, then (yeah right). Catch a copy of the all-new Esquire magazine today (June issue) – it’s just hit shelves.
