Love or Hate: Alexander McQueen God Save the Queen scarf

20th May 2011 1:30 am

Ok, so the royal wedding might have been three weeks ago, but that high level of patriotism still hasn’t quite left my system. Did I mention I still have Union Jacks in my window? There remains a buzz of cool Britannia in the air and it looks like it might be around for a while yet.

That’ss why this Alexander McQueen God Save the Queen silk scarf is so perfect right now. It fuses a red, white and blue Union Jack flag and the slogan ‘God Save McQueen’.

Fashionable and witty – I like. Made from the finest silk, it drapes beautifully around the neck and is perfect for warmer weather.

This scarf looks best when it is stealing the limelight from your more boring clothes. Wear with jeans, a biker and a simple white tee for an instant update on your daytime look.

While it might be hard to ever measure up to the omnipresent McQueen skull scarf, this might just be the next best thing.

Alexander McQueen God Save the Queen silk scarf, £295, available at Matches. BUY NOW!

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
