Beauty buy of the week: Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil (as recommended by Victoria Beckham)

24th May 2011 1:30 pm

Strictly speaking, this week’s top beauty buy isn’t our brainchild – it’s Victoria Beckham‘s. Probably the world’s most famous pregnant woman, VB took to Twitter last weekend to share her pregnancy tips, and can you guess her favourite product?

Yup, Elemis’ Japanese Camellia Oil is the designer’s best beauty buy. “Pregnancy tip!!!!,” she tweeted, accompanied by a picture of the product. “I have used this through every pregnancy, it’s amazing!!”

Well, do you really need any more persuading? The lightweight oil might just be beauty’s best-kept secret – it’s rich in plant collagen which keeps skin supple, helping to reduce wretched stretch-marks whilst giving skin a soft moisture boost.

And though it’s great for pregnancies, we reckon it’s a great product for your bathroom cabinet, too. Apparently it’s been a Japanese beauty secret for healthy nails, hair, scalp and skin for centuries.

Multi-purpose, purse-friendly and Beckham approved? We’re calling it our new summer skin rescue.

Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil, £27.60, available at timetospa.co.uk. BUY NOW!

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
