Watch: Lady Gaga eats paper on the David Letterman show

You might not admit it, but at some point in your life most of you have had the urge to eat paper, right? Y’know, just to see what it tastes like – but you probably managed to fight that feeling off. Unlike Lady Gaga.

Appearing for the first time on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote her new album Born This Way, Gaga did, for some reason, decide to chew on some mint green paper towards the end of the interview.

Her outfit left little to the imagination, and by that we mean all she wore was a pair of spiked boots, some fishnets, black underwear, a masquerade mask and a Viktor and Rolf jacket from the label‘s fall collection.

“I only liked the jacket, so I decided that’s all I would wear,” explains Gaga to David when he asks, confusedly, “What are you wearing? I mean, what aren’t you wearing?”

But the hilarity didn’t end there as Gaga tried, unsuccessfully, to convince David he should wear only underpants, then came to the conclusion the host is in fact “actually quite fashionable” and finally finished off by asking “does someone style you?” To which he replied, “Oh yeah, I have no idea what any of this is.” Bless.

But as always, Gaga saved the best till last, and actually ate a piece of paper Letterman was reading recent press rumours from. Thankfully, she spat it out after chewing on it for a while – talk about indigestion.
