Get the look: Alexa Chung in vintage Balenciaga

26th May 2011 2:00 am

The 2011 Cannes Film Festival was filled to the brim with gorgeous celebrities and equally stunning dresses to boot. But one English rose’s outfit caught our eye in particular at last week’s Sleeping Beauty premiere: Miss Alexa Chung.

Never one to disappoint on the fashion front, the style-setter wore a white vintage Balenciage gown, complete with long angled sleeves and bags of style appeal. We love the effortlessly elegant cut of the silk dress, which Alexa made suitably charming with block heeled pumps and a silver sparkling clutch for a girly-glam look.

So much so, in fact, we’re dying to recreate it ourselves. We’ve picked our favourite pieces that we think channel Alexa’s cute, chic style to a tee – see below to get her look.

Alexa’s dress may be vintage, but its clean, classic cut works perfectly with this season’s minimalism. We love Clemens En August’s simple sheer long sleeve dress for effortless elegance like the Chung.

Alexa’s ditched sky-scraping heels in favour of something considerably more comfortable. These ballet pumps with a block heel are the perfect way to recreate her chic shoes – pain free feet here we come!

To add a touch of sparkle to her outfit, the presenter-come-model opted for a shimmering silver clutch. We found one just as dazzling at Dune to finish of your look.
