Who wore it best? Gwen Stefani vs Iman in Stella McCartney

29th May 2011 3:00 am

This week’s style-off sees Gwen Stefani and supermodel Iman – two celebrated style icons in their own right – battle it out in a dazzling plunging-V sequined jumpsuit by Stella McCartney.

With sheer embellished sleeves, a daring plunging neckline and lashings of sparkle, we love Stella’s grown up, glamorous take on a onesie, but with both stars sporting different colours, the singer and super achieved strikingly different looks.

Gwen Stefani rocked up a semi-tough look with a feminine twist for the Tree Of Life premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Opting for black, she exuded rock chick cool as she paired a curly bleached bob with strong eyes, bright pink lips and a red clutch for maximum colour popping effect.

The singer cinched her one-piece in at the waist with a thin black belt to create a fabulously svelte silhouette.

But Iman had already modelled the daringly slashed jumpsuit at the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Costume Institute Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, back at the beginning of May.

Looking every inch the impossibly-leggy golden goddess, the super chose the bronze version, teaming it with voluminous curls, smoky eyes and a gorgeous golden glow.

She topped the accessories stake by cinching at the waist, too, with a black and gold belt, finished with a black clutch.

We love the striking contrast Gwen’s look achieves; it’s definitely an updated take on wearing the jumpsuit. But whose look left you bedazzled: Gwen Stefani’s rock-chick or Iman’s golden goddess? Cast your votes below!
