Christian is in the process of suing Yves Saint Laurent for ‘copying’ his trademark red soles, so we wonder what action he’ll take against the 16-year-old girl currently making a living out of designing DIY red sole stickers.

Rosso Solini Designer Soles is the brainchild of 16-year-old Irish Tara Haughton, who’s designed a range of stickers for shoes that allow you to transform tired old pumps into somewhat jazzier styles (read: fake your friends into thinking you’re wearing Louboutins).

Still, there’s the slight problem of copyright (though YSL has pointed out that Louboutin can’t claim invention on red shoes).

So, how does one get around it? By designing a whole range of colours and prints to play the ‘oh, but I’m just making my shoes pretty’ card. Clever.

A pack of 3 will cost you €17.50, which is significantly cheaper than a pair of Louboutins, but still, we feel a bit uncomfortable about this.

Check them out here if you don’t.
