Love or Hate: Missoni for Converse marbled Chuck Taylors

The indie crowd are hard to please when it comes to fashion, but Converse has maintained their loyalty for years. No mean feat, let it be said. The laidback sneakers are a pop icon in their own right and have graced the feet of just about every indie band out there. But the boffins at Converse HQ have decided it’s time to give their high-tops a makeover: step forward Missoni.

These marbled Chuck Taylors come complete with a trademark Missoni print which, in turn, gives them an altogether more Mediterranean edge. Perfect for summer, they boast thick rubber soles and a choice of black of white laces.

While it might be hard to pull die-hard Converse fans out of their battered white pairs, these are a great choice for those who have yet to be initiated into the brand.

Colourful, bright and fun, they’ll look great teamed with sun dresses and are a match made in heaven for skinny jeans. They might seem like polar opposites, but Missoni and Converse work surprisingly well together.
