So we’ve seen who won what, and we’ve seen who wore what, but there’s only one thing you all really wanted to see this morning, and that’s what Fashion Icon award-winner Lady Gaga wore to last night’s CFDAs.

She opted for vintage Mugler – an obvious choice, when you consider her love for the label both before her super status and especially since her best friend Formichetti took the helm – and if anyone can work a masterpiece from Mugler’s archives, it’s Gaga.

But we can hardly critique her outfit according to our usual style standards, so we’ll opt instead for a simple blow-by-blow of last night’s look and award speech.

Gaga wore those 12-inch heeless platforms she’s been wearing everywhere recently with her Mugler gown whose massive train was, seemingly, removable, as she demonstrated when collecting her Fashion Icon award without it, showing off a sheer body suit and spiked thong in the process.

Other things she showed off during the ceremony included her nipples at various points, when the carefully placed bustier slipped on occasion, and an electric blue bob, which we have to say is far more fun than her Cruella de Ville ‘do of late.

“I can’t believe I’m allowed in here,” Gaga said when she collected her award. “I used to save up my money to buy Mugler vintage archive. I used to save up all my money. I had to have it. That’s really what fashion is all about for me. I already felt like I had made it before I had made it. All of you made me feel like a star before I was. Thank you for believing in me.”

Aw. Click through our gallery to see her look in more details – we’re liking this statement soft (in context) makeup.
