So it is true! After much speculation surrounding whether or not Angelina Jolie actually was the new face of Louis Vuitton, images of the actress starring in the luxury label’s new ‘Core Values’ campaign have just been released.

They were shot in Cambodia – Ange’s favourite place since filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2000 and subsequently adopting son Maddox – by Annie Leibovitz and show a shoe-less Jolie wearing her own clothes on a wooden boat next to her worn and weathered monogrammed Alto bag of six years (which Louis Vuitton is considering re-editing, FYI).

According to WWD she’s also wearing no makeup, but that smoky eye isn’t fooling us.

Angelina is the latest star to front the luxury label’s Core Values campaign, which celebrates Louis Vuitton’s classic items worn in real situations by real people (read: celebrities, not models), but she’s likely to be the first who bought her four children along to the set, only for them to be shooed away by Leibovitz during shooting.

“People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” Pietro Beccari, Vuitton’s executive vice president, said. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand.”

He declined to comment on whether Angelina was paid the rumoured $10 million to star in the campaign, but said she donated an undisclosed sum to a charity – probably the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

The campaign will roll out in publications from Wednesday and will run for at least 18 months, with a teaser video of an exclusive interview with Ange also going live on Louis Vuitton’s website before its debut later this month.

So, what’s the verdict?
