Amanda Holden is no ogre at Shrek the Musical premier

15th June 2011 12:30 pm

As far as opposites go, stepping out in style every night on Britain’s Got Talent and starring as Princess Fiona in the new Shrek the Musical is pretty up there, but it’s all in a day’s work for 40-year-old Amanda Holden.

Appearing on the red – wait, green – carpet for the press opening last night, Princess-playing Amanda made sure she turned her audience the right shade of green by dazzling in a sparkling one shoulder Brian Lichtenberg dress.

The glittering emerald colouring made her look fresh and youthful (the same can’t be said for her hair), and the short hem showed off her fabulous figure no end.

She teamed the dress with matching green satin heels and green tear drop earrings, and though we’d have preferred a less matchy-matchy look, she managed to pull off the green theme without looking like her ogre ego.

We think Amanda looks pretty good as Princess Fiona and herself, but would you dare to wear all green?

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
