At last night’s 2011 Scottish Fashion Awards, designer Jonathan Saunders picked up the Designer of the Year award for the second time in two years – the man’s definitely on a winning streak.

“I’ve just been texting Chris Kane saying ‘Sam Cam’s wearing your dress, you’re definitely going to win it!’ so this is a huge surprise,” said Jonathan as he accepted his prize.

Samantha Cameron attended the event in her capacity as an ambassador for the BFC, and was indeed wearing a neon green pleated Christopher Kane dress on the night – whilst fellow nominee Holly Fulton‘s collections were also well represented by fellow guests.

Honorary Scotsman Henry Holland also bagged the International Designer of the Year award (for best use of Scottish textiles) – whilst David Gandy presented the Model of the Year award to an absent Tali Lennox, reports Vogue UK.

A good evening all round, then.
