Love or Hate: House of Harlow jewelled strappy sandals

16th June 2011 1:00 am

In summer, one of my absolute favourite colour combinations has to be tan and turquoise. It conjures up images of the sea and sand beautifully and really epitomises holidays for me.

Make-up wise, I love teal eyeshadow with bronzer, and I always compliment a tan with turquoise sun dresses.

This is why I just love these House of Harlow 1960 jewelled strappy sandals. The label, created by Nicole Richie, perfectly captures the free-spirit of the Sixties and works the laid-back vibe perfectly.

Made from gold and pale tan leather straps and embellished with chunky turquoise stones, they look great with bronzed skin and instantly put you in a summery mood.

They were made to be worn with maxi dresses, but I can really see them working well with shorts and playsuits, too. Team with a pair of oversized sunglasses, gold jewellery and a teal headscarf and you might just have the perfect summer look.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
