Net-a-Porter Live allows you to see what the world is purchasing

16th June 2011 10:26 am

Super luxury online retailer Net-a-Porter has opened its shopping spying crudentials to the world, allowing fellow customers to have a sneak peek at what the rest of the planet is buying thanks to Net-a-porter Live.

The new app enables you to see what items people are adding to their basket, adding to their wishlist, or even sharing with their friends in real time. After all, us women are a nosy bunch.

The interactive map displays where in the world items are being selected, and even shows you a thumbnail of their chosen item of fashion.

The idea originated from the Net-a-Porter offices where staff created a real-time stream of purchases for all to see on large plasma screens, with an aim to increase interest in the site’s products and encourage those watching to add items to their wishlists.

Net-a-porter LIVE seems to have taken the next step in merging fashion with social networking. And we like. A lot.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
