Orla Kiely is set to open her first ever US store this September in New York City’s trendy SoHo.

And to celebrate such a momentous occasion, Karen Elson and Giles Deacon attended a swanky launch party at the Ace Hotel. Um, jealous?

“It seemed like the natural progression for us to open a store in the US,” said Kiely. “When we found our store on Mercer Street we instantly fell in love with the space and thought the area was perfect for our customer.”

The store is said to be 2,300 square-foot in size, carrying the label’s ready-to-wear collection and accessories, as well as homeware, stationary and even beauty products.

“The new store will be a home for the Orla Kiely brand, communicating its whole message to a new international audience,” explained the brand’s ceo and founder Dermott Rowan to Vogue UK.

“It will still feel like New York. It’s got great high ceilings and we’re leaving brick work exposed. We’ll just be adding Orla’s world to it.”

Exciting news, indeed.
