Who wore it best? Rihanna vs Selita Ebanks in Carlos Miele

This week’s style-off sees Bajan beauty Rihanna and Caymanian model Selita Ebanks battle it out in the fashion stakes. Both wore a stunning rose velvet halter gown from Carlos Miele’s AW11 collection and looked equally fabulous, though they achieved two very different looks.

Selita Ebanks made an appearance in the Carlos Miele gown at the Samsung Hope for Children Gala, held in New York earlier this month on June 7th. The former Victoria Secret Angel teamed her look with stacked bangles and a strong ruby lip.

We’re not too sure how well that skunk-esque crop sits with a look that oozes red carpet glamour, but we love Selita’s minimalistic approach to accessorising – all the focus remains on the dress.

But good girl gone bad, Rihanna, made her mark in Carlos Miele two months earlier, when she performed her hit single California King Bed on American Idol on April 14th.

RiRi looks stunning with her curvaceous figure beautifully filling the gown, paired with a mop of fiery red hair, scarlet nails, assorted rings and neutral makeup. Her trademark mane sits beautifully in contrast to the pale colour of the gown – this look is a sure-fire hit with us!
