Love or Hate: J Brand pink skinny jeans

21st June 2011 1:00 am

It all started when Isabel Marant sent models sashaying down the catwalk in pastel pink jeans. Ever since then, I’ve lusted after a pair.

The luxury label’s American-inspired spring/summer 2011 collection certainly hit a fashion nerve and brands like Current/ Elliott and J Brand have jumped to produce similar versions. And while I’d never divert away from my black jeans, pink ones could really get me experimenting with a bit of colour.

These J Brand mid-rise jeans are spot-on for this season. Ankle length and in a skinny leg, they’re lightweight enough to be worn all summer long – plus, they come in a classic five-pocket style and provide just the right amount of stretch.

The super slimness of them means they look best with something a little voluminous up top – think an oversized blazer and tee or channel Isabel Marant and pair them with a loose varsity jacket. With the sales just starting, I’m going to make it my mission to get a pair by the end of summer.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
