Love or Hate: Mexicana cowboy boots with floral embroidery

29th June 2011 1:00 pm

The footwear brand Mexicana is the brainchild of Lionel and Herve Benayoun. Having always dreamed of creating boots since their youth, and inspired by trips to Mexico, the pair created an uber-cool brand which specialises in cowboy boots.

They’re gradually receiving growing interest internationally, counting Reese Witherspoon as a fan, and these leather cowboy boots are signature Mexicana.

Made from black aged goat leather and decorated with the most beautiful multi-coloured embroidery, they are the best way to embrace the Wild West. They feature a chunky heel and concealed zip on the inner side, and you can totally tell how much love has gone into making each pair.

I really like the way they look a bit weather-worn: wear right now with denim cut-offs and a preppy blouse and with your favourite jeans when the weather turns cooler.

A good pair of boots can be hard to find but I have a feeling these might just last you a lifetime.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
