Today would have marked the late Princess Diana of Wale’s 50th birthday, and while the nation – and the world over – still mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman, her memory will undoubtedly live on forever.

Cheryl Cole is one of the many people to pay tribute to the Princess, after commenting on the gorgeous commemorative Vogue cover special that’s out now.

“In my opinion all of the Vogue covers are amazing but I really love the covers with Princess Diana,” said Cheryl. “They feel iconic and are definitely special covers.

But Diana’s old friend, and former dressmaker, Bruce Oldfield stated earlier this month he didn’t think turning 50 would have troubled the late royal, reports Vogue UK.

“Diana had found her feet shortly before she died and I think she’d have embraced life on her own terms,” said Oldfield.

“She’d have found being 50 quite funny. She had good genes, and would have looked good.”

We bet she would, too.
