Rumours emerged last week that Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green could be about to let disgraced designer John Galliano return to the world of fashion with a collection for high-street favourite Topshop – to follow in the footsteps of his close friend Kate Moss.

Insiders believe the idea of a collaboration came about after Kate, Galliano, and Green, all got together last week at Moss’ Cotswolds wedding, with internal discussions suggesting the plans were only in the early stages of development.

But now it seems Galliano won’t be collaborating with Topshop any time soon, after a spokesperson for the designer declared “his only focus for the foreseeable future is concentrating on his rehab,” and “there is no truth in this rumour.”

Sir Philip Green has also claimed that – so far – no conversation has taken place with John himself.

“I saw John Galliano at Kate’s wedding last Friday. I did not discuss any business with him then, nor have I since,” said Green to Vogue UK.

We’ll just have to wait and see if all this hearsay is just another industry cover up.
