So apparently, the life of an Essex reality star goes something like this: appear on TV, become famous for stereotyping your county, come up with some silly sayings, and then launch T-shirts on the back of said stereotypes and sayings at one of London’s most prestigious stores.
Yes, Joey Essex from The Only Way Is Essex (lest you need reminding), is launching a collection of T-shirts exclusively at Selfridges which, frankly, is either the funniest thing we’ve heard all week or the saddest.
The eight designs feature slogans like “Shutt uuup!”, “Team Reem”, “No Carbs Before Marbs” and, our personal favourite, “Don’t be Jel be Reem”.
They’re available in various colour ways and retail at £30 – and, if you’re really into your reemness, you can meet the man himself at a secret location later this month.
The first 200 people to purchase a T-shirt online will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five pairs of tickets to meet Joey on July 28th.
So, if you’re into that sort of thing, we suggest you head over to Selfridges now – the tees have just gone live here.

[...] We kid you not. If you aren't aware of the origin and connotations of the phrase above, we're afraid we're going to have to educate you. You know the phrase 'ignorance is bliss'? If you still want to remain none the wiser, look away now. Yes ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, that classy London department store known as Selfridges has had some Essex injected into it, as Joey Essex (from the hit reality TV show The Only Way Is Essex – as if you didn't know, stop pretending) has brought a line of slogan t-shirts to the shop. He came, he saw and he conquered. We don't know what he put in all of their cocktails, but the powers that be at Selfridges approved the tees and they have officially gone live on the website. The first 200 people to buy a tee online will be entered in to a draw to win one of fovea pairs of tickets to meet the Essex joker later on this month. What other TOWIE delights can you expect from the t-shirts? "I heart Essex boys" and of course the ever elusive "Shut Uuup"…we literally say no more. [My Fashion Life] [...]
