Accessory Adventures: Alex Monroe Forget Me Not ring

18th July 2011 12:00 pm

It’s summer and with Kate Moss (sorry Hince’s) nuptials only just behind us, we can announce that love is truly in the air, and this season designers have been falling back in love with romance.

This week we’re smitten with Alex Monroe’s gorgeously feminine Forget Me Not ring that will capture your heart faster than you can say Prince Charming.

A stunning promise or commitment ring, the romantic symbolism of the Forget Me Not flower whispers the sweet nothings of balmy summer nights, while the beautiful design of the ring itself proves that this summer, romance is the real deal.

Unlike many traditional commitment rings which all too often have an air of staid and polished formality, this youthful, nature-inspired design has a carefree air to it that captures the free-spirited side of love.

But youthful though it may seem, this ring is no childish accessory. The cluster of Forget Me Nots, with their beautifully crafted white gold petals, each detailed with a diamond stamen gleaming against a yellow gold band, breathe sophisticated style.

Wear with this season’s pastels for soft and feminine summer style, and slide over a pair of black leather driving gloves in winter. Even if your summer romance doesn’t last beyond autumn, this ring is perennial.

Alex Monroe Forget-Me-Not Ring, £1,950, available at  Astley Clarke.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
