Forever 21 has never been found guilty of copyright infringement

Despite facing dozens of copyright infringement lawsuits from over 40 different designers, American label Forever 21 has always settled these cases quietly outside of court.

But the company insists their policy is to simply trust their vendors not to knock off other people’s designs.

“I have in the past overly trusted people and was, in turn, let down by some,” said Do Won Chang, Forever 21’s founder to The Guardian.

“Since then I have learned the difference between putting faith into people and blindly trusting them.”

Maybe that’s for the best. We still love you though Forever 21.

Stay tuned for our coverage of their Oxford Street launch party.
