Accessory Adventures: Miguel Ases Blue Goldstone Earrings

22nd July 2011 1:12 pm

Earlier this week we praised the merits of Miguel Ases gorgeous designs and today we’re proud to have a new offering from the man who’s fast becoming one of our favourite new designers.

Whether at home or away, Miguel Ases’ design has an exotic touch that will leave everyone asking which far flung market you sourced them from. The earrings have a glamorous touch of chandelier but aren’t so oversized that they can’t be worn by day.

Reminiscent of the traditional geometric patterns of Andalusian tiles or azulejos (so named after the distinctive rich blue that they are usually painted in), these earrings exude Spanish drama. The style has a vintage air to it and the inky midnight blue gold stones have a grown up feel to them, providing a sophisticated balance to the floral design.

We can image them adorning the ear of an impassioned Spanish heroine (think Penelope Cruz in Volver or Vicky, Christina, Barcelona), and accessorised with a coat of pillar box red lipstick and a LBD for mysterious and seductive evening charm.
