Handbag Hunter: Balenciaga Papier flap bag

1st September 2011 1:00 am

Say hello to what I would love the opportunity to call my new best friend. This season’s brilliant tangerine shade is still very of the moment, and Balenciaga’s Papier flap bag really knows how to work its zesty tone.

With its beautiful flap-over detail, brass toned hardware and suede lining, this tangerine tote will be the turn-to accessory to work for that killer statement look. And not only is it roomy, its tassel-like pull detail only adds to its delectable allure.

This is also the perfect accessory to add to your collection if you’re slightly shy of bright colour. We understand why you colour-wary girls might turn a rather worrying shade of red when faced with an over-bearing shift in a similar colour, but ladies, this accessory is a little bit easier to mix and match into a wardrobe of the shade you suit.

That said, I feel that I may be making a rather swift U-turn when it comes to the price. At £945 it’s exceptionally steep, and makes even me, the colour-popping Queen, re-consider the tangerine. Hardly classic for that cash, is it?
