Laura Bailey works the ladylike look in hot-off-the-runway Stella McCartney

22nd September 2011 11:59 am

We love it when a celeb dares to work a simple and chic ensemble. Not only does it look effortlessly stylish on the red carpet, but more often than not, it makes for a much more striking fashion statement (especially, as the case may be, when it comes to the luxurious designs of Stella McCartney).

Laura Bailey was snapped wearing this white Stella McCartney dress with a stiff bow tie waist straight off the spring 2012 runway, along with these delicious patent nude stacked heels from the designer’s autumn 2011 collection as she headed to London Fashion Week’s Downing Street reception this week.

With hemlines still heading south, Bailey hits the fashion nail on the head with her easy lady-like elegance. She appears effortlessly fresh – and it’s a welcome preview for next season, too.

But what do you think?

Is Laura Bailey’s look simply ladylike or a dull and dowdy?
