Kate Middleton wears Amanda Wakeley to Royal Marsden Hospital

30th September 2011 11:45 am

Kate Middleton‘s only had one official royal outing this month, which probably explains why everyone squealed when she popped into Topshop this week, but at least she made an impression on that visit.

Visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital yesterday morning, Kate opted for a low-key look in a cream Amanda Wakeley dress, characteristically fitted and finishing just at the knee.

It’s another well-chosen piece for the Princess – refined, classic and elegant – from an iconic British designer that also happened to be a favourite of Princess Diana, though we dare say the latter didn’t always insist on wearing the same pumps from L.K. Bennett (yep, she went there again).

With Wills by her side, the pair took a tour of the south London hospital and visited children suffering from cancer, so it seems fitting that Kate opted for a simple look, but what do you think?

Do you like her low-key approach, or should she have stepped out in something more interesting for her only royal outing this month?
