Lunchtime buy: Car print jumpsuit by Unique

14th October 2011 12:00 pm

The Prada spring 2012 Show in Milan blew us all away again this season. From the sequins and snake print that Miuccia served up for AW11, for SS12 we were presented another fresh collection: this time it was all about ‘Donna e Motori’ – women and cars.

The 1950s hot rod car print featured on many of the pieces, which basically means it will be a massive trend for next summer.

And Topshop is so ahead of the game that it already has the car print in store now. The store’s 100% silk car print jumpsuit in brown with a beau bib front from the Unique collection is totally on par for next sesaon – but we want to wear it right about now.

Although, admittedly, the cars on Topshop‘s playsuit are more Only Fools and Horses than the Grease-inspired 1950s numbers that Prada presented, but we think that’s what makes it so quaint.

Wear with brogues and a polo neck for daytime chic now, and then rev it up for night time glamour with platforms. Speed on down!

Car print jumpsuit by Unique, £140, available at Topshop.
