Ke$ha teams up with Baby-G to launch her own line of watches

When Ke$ha launched her debut single TiK ToK in 2009, we wonder if she ever imagined that two years later – nearly to the month – she’d be launching her own line of watches with Baby-G? As far as coincidences go, it’s certainly up there with the best. The pop star has teamed up with iconic youth brand Baby-G to put her paw prints on two limited edition Casio watches that reflect her signature styles – Americana and leopard print – and come complete with the Ke$ha logo.

The first, an all-American watch in red, white and blue, features the colours and shape of the US flag on the straps and face, as well as a smattering of stars for a retro finish. The second, and our favourite, is a little more fashion forward, featuring a sculptural square face with a striking gold leopard print backdrop against a subtle black animal print design on the strap, which we reckon will toughen up any party dress with just enough glamour. 

“In creating my red, white and blue watch, I was obviously inspired by the American flag because it’s a recurring theme in my aesthetic but also represents freedom of speech, a right I passionately exercise in my life and in my music,” says Ke$ha. “Leopard print is another recurring theme in my look, which I like to wear because it brings out my animal inside. I hope when people wear my watches they’re reminded to express themselves always and never lose the animal inside themselves.”
