Iggy Pop is the face of brand new Paco Rabanne scents!
According to reports this morning, Iggy Pop has become the ambassador of two brand new Paco Rabanne scents and will lend his face (and mane of golden locks) to the advertising campaigns.
The rock legend will front the campaigns for the new men’s and women’s fragrances, called Black XS L’Excès, which will debut in France in January next year.
We hear that Jonas Akerlund will be directing the TV commercials, which gives us great confidence that they will be somewhat amazing to say the least. We only need to look to the Girl Panic! music video starring five of the biggest 90s supermodels (and Duran Duran) for proof of his excellence in the field of directing.
There is currently no word on when the perfumes, or indeed the adverts, will land in the UK, the US or anywhere else other than France, but we have our fingers crossed that we will get our paws on some sneak previews very soon.
We wonder what other music legends will lend their faces to fashion…
