Carine Roitfeld is going to be a grandmother!

14th November 2011 10:28 am

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, daughter of former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld, has revealed that she is three months pregnant with her first child.

This will therefore make Carine one of the world’s most stylish grandmothers, or at least it would if she hadn’t been quoted saying she will be referred to as ‘madame’ as opposed to ‘grandma’, which actually doesn’t surprise us in the slightest.

Although Julia and her 36-year-old model boyfriend Robert Konjic have been happily dating for the last few years, she has revealed that they don’t have any immediate plans to marry just because they have a baby on the way.

“I don’t think he wants to get married again – he’s done it and it didn’t work out for him,” Julia said. “I’m really close to my family and I really want one of my own. But the wedding, it’s not necessary for me.”

So you can stop imagining what her wedding dress would look like now, although if the couple ever do decide to tie the knot, we have no doubt that the mother of the bride would pull some strings and get her daughter the most enviable dress since Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen creation.
