Dakota and Elle Fanning show their sisterly love on December’s W magazine

14th November 2011 9:59 am

It must be the Christmas holiday spirit bringing out the sisterly love, as we are presented with yet another sibling-orientated magazine cover.

The Best Dressed special edition of Vogue featured Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley on the cover with other famous sisters being honoured inside, but now it seems like that wasn’t the only December publication with the same idea.

Elle and Dakota Fanning (who both came second on Vogue’s best dressed list) look more like twins as they pose for Mario Sorrenti in Valentino Haute Couture on December’s W cover.  And if we may say so, looking way older than their 13 and 17 years.

We’re glad to see the girls recognised on the best dressed list, as we noticed little Dakota’s fashion presence from a very early age.

“I was always into fashion because my mum has always been interested in fashion,” Dakota told W. “She majored in fashion merchandising in college, and it’s always been something we have in common. When I did that first campaign for Marc Jacobs, I really wasn’t old enough to wear the clothes. He made all the clothes from the runway in my size. I still have them.”

If Marc Jacobs custom-making clothes for you doesn’t scream fashion presence, we don’t know what does.

You can catch the rest of the interview and the stunning editorial pictures in December’s W and online.
