Perhaps it’s the austere environment or fashion’s move towards minimalism, but Mulberry‘s latest must-have bag, Evelina, is surprisingly stripped-back for a brand whose signature has always been whimsical, though we dare say this satchel holds just as much charm.
Yep, Mulberry‘s newest handbag family has just arrived online, and we expect you might want to meet them (preferably before Christmas).
Though she might not be especially statement, in fact, Evelina’s fine-points lie in her pared-down, unassuming nature.
Relaxed and strikingly simple, she comes in an array of lavish tactile leathers (grainy or glossy), a choice of neutral colours (black, summer khaki and fudge) and, as is quite unusual for Mulberry, she bears a hidden magnetic closure with just a small metallic Mulberry tree for a logo.
But perhaps Evelina’s best speciality is her stand-out plaque on her strap – a smooth gold metal for an understated but decidedly luxe defining feature.
And the best part? There’s three of them. A satchel (our fave), an oversized satchel and a hobo, which bears a sumptuous slouched shape, a rounded top handle and cross-body strap, and comes with its own super-special finish in luxurious leopard haircalf should you want something wow.
We’re totally convinced – question is, are you?
Prices start from £595 for a standard satchel. Visit mulberry.com for more.
